The $0 Platform Problem
Here's a number worth sitting with.
The average Director or VP has accumulated roughly $500,000 to $2,000,000 worth of expertise β in the form of institutional knowledge, problem-solving frameworks, leadership experience, and domain authority β that is entirely invisible to the market.
Not because the expertise isn't valuable. Because there's no platform to surface it.
No authority asset. No consistent point of view. No place where the market can find them, vet them, and decide to pay them.
The company knows what they're worth. The market doesn't β yet.
This is the leverage gap. And it's not a branding problem. It's an infrastructure problem.
A podcast fixes it faster than anything else I've seen at the senior professional level β not because it builds an audience, but because it builds a record. A searchable, shareable body of work that positions your expertise independent of your employer and creates inbound conversations that turn into consulting relationships, advisory retainers, and speaking opportunities.
That's not content creation. That's infrastructure.
This week's move:
Ask yourself: if someone Googled your name today β not your company, your name β what would they find? If the answer is "not much," you have an infrastructure problem worth solving.
The Mic Check Methodβ’ is the system I use to fix it. We'll go deeper on that next week.
